Throw an easy, festive twinkle twinkle little star first birthday party for your favorite little one using these ideas and free printables.
Somehow, the baby turned ONE in May. To celebrate we did a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star party. Her decorations were very simple.
Lights

These Paper Star string lights were a simple addition to set a ‘twinkling’ mood for the party.
Entryway Picture Wall

A picture wall welcomed guests in the entryway. It was fun to pick out our favorite 4×6 photos from the first year. To keep with the theme we added a few patterned scrapbook paper stars.
Birthday Photo Banner

Every birthday at our house includes a large photo banner strung across the main room. The banner includes one picture per month from the previous year intermixed with a birthday message – Audra Grace Is One. Clothes pins covered with pink sparkle washi tape gave the black and white banner a pop of color and ‘twinkle‘.
Cake

To make cake-smashing fun for the baby who cries when her hands are dirty (maybe she’ll be the cleanest child), we opted for a tri-color layer cake with simple white frosting between layers. It’s not fancy, but worked great (she didn’t really like touching squishy cake layers either so I am grateful for time saved by not frosting the whole thing!)
Decorations
Now for some simple decorations you can print at home.
