The first day of school is one of those days we want to document with a photo. Having the kids hold a sign looks pretty cute, but can also help when organizing photos later on (especially for moms like me who struggle to regularly print and organize photos). It’s usually the night before school starts when I sit down and start searching the internet for first day of school printable signs. Since you’re here now, I’m guessing we may have something in common.
Last year, I didn’t create any signs or post any. It was a strange year and I’m not even sure I took photos on the first day of school. But it’s time to get back on track. This year our youngest starts kindergarten. It is also the only year that our three kids will be in the same school and get to ride the bus together.
While I’m thrilled the kids are going to school, in person, and that they are getting to go together – it’s complicated. I admit to feeling a wide range of emotions tonight as I think through the reality that the baby is starting elementary school. There is a very good possibility I end up being the mom crying at the bus stop.
The possibility of emotions makes having signs printed the night before even more valuable.
Free First Day of School Printable Signs
In this year’s download, you’ll find a variety of signs for all ages: Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. And, of course, a generic First Day of School sign.
To make things easier than in the past, all the signs are available in one PDF file. Download the file and just print the pages that work for your family.
As usual, you can print on any paper, but my favorite is bright white cardstock.
Subscribers (new and old) will gain access to free printable first day of school signs in the Resource Library. Once subscribed, you will receive the password for the library in your welcome email.
On a side note: I know not everyone wants to stick around after subscribing and receiving their printable. I get it. However, all are welcome here and I do hope you’ll stick around long enough to see what This Grateful Mama is all about. Feel free to explore. And, if you find this isn’t for you, that’s ok. Thanks for stopping by.
Subscribers will receive an email when the matching Last Day of School printable signs are released in the spring.
