A photo is a great way to capture the memories of the first day of school. Having the kids hold a sign looks pretty cute, but it can also help when organizing photos later on (especially for moms like me who struggle to print and organize photos regularly). The night before school starts, I usually search the internet for first-day-of-school printable signs. Since you’re here now, we may have something in common.
This year, our middle starts middle school. This means our oldest children will be at the same school, and our youngest will be in elementary school. As with any transition, many in our home feel a wide range of emotions. There is as good a chance as any that I’ll end up teary-eyed at the bus stop again this year.
The possibility of unexpected (and expected) emotions makes having signs printed the night before even more valuable.
Free First Day of School Printable Signs
In this year’s download, you’ll find a variety of signs for all ages: Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. And, of course, a generic First Day of School sign like the image above.
To make things easier than in the past, all the signs are available in one PDF file. Download the file and just print the pages that work for your family.
As usual, you can print on any paper, but my favorite is bright white cardstock.
